For over twenty years The Core Trust has pioneered new ways of dealing with alcohol and substance addiction. Core's innovative programmes, which blend traditional therapies with complementary therapies and provide a safe, structured environment. The charity was born as the result of two people's struggles to overcome their own drug and drink addictions. This led them to develop a service that is recognised as a leader in its field.

The project offers a range of services to clients with substance use problems including: structured day rehabilitation programmes (abstinence based), individual evening counselling, After Care and CoreKids.

Drink and drug abuse doesn't just blight the life of the user, but also their relatives' and friends' lives. Children in particular can suffer from a parent's addiction, so the groundbreaking CoreKids project was developed. A vital and integral part of Core's philosophy of making change last, CoreKids helps to heal the whole family.

The therapists and specialists at The Core Trust have years of valuable experience in meeting the needs of everyone addiction harms. Their work is at the forefront of addiction treatment.
